At Tomtaklint School, we work with Chromebooks and Google Classroom. Our two lead teachers focus on developing teaching and collegial collaboration. Tomtaklint School has bright and well-maintained facilities with projectors in every classroom. The school has a student health team that includes special teachers, school nurses, counselors, school psychologists, deputy principals, and principals.

You will be a mentor for a class together with a mentoring colleague. You will share the class of about 26 students between you.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You are/have:

  • Certified teacher with qualifications to teach wood and metal craft for grades 7-9
  • Good knowledge of the curriculum and syllabus
  • Good skills and experience in formative assessment to follow up and evaluate the operations
  • Pedagogical awareness and knowledge to interpret and concretize all the goals of the curriculum
  • Experience in teaching wood and metal craft

You consider students to be your colleagues and that the school is your shared workplace. Together with students, you work to create the climate you want in the classroom. You are attentive, listen, and have a positive view of people. You share yourself and care about building good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.

With us, as a newly hired teacher, whether senior or newly graduated, you will have a mentor in a teaching colleague who guides you through the school's routines and working methods. You will be invited to an introduction day for all newly hired staff in Trosa municipality, where you will learn about the municipality on a guided bus tour through the activities. During the introduction day, you will learn more about how the municipality works and meet various department heads and other colleagues within the municipality.
